Maybe the DNCC has kept track of the polling this summer and figures the Democratic nominee is officially in distress. That’s the only explanation for a silly gaffe by the convention committee for the graphics on their credentials for those allowed to see Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at Invesco Field. The holographic image uses an American flag motif with the blue field at the bottom, with Obama’s head emerging from it in one of the two alternating images.

Considering the fact that Ed Morrissey and Michelle Malkin's crew love Photoshop so much, you would think that they would at least have even a novice-level knowledge of graphic design.
Apparently not.

The lefties are in distress, but tis not the only explanation.
It doesn’t matter that it’s not a representation of a real American flag.
Perception is reality, and the obamanator can’t seem to grasp that concept. (I’m convinced it’s an ego thang…)
But this is S.O.P. for the obamanator’s swooning flock of democratic socialist myrmidons - they won’t admit anything is wrong because they didn’t know anything was wrong.
They are a clueless morass of amoral, relativistic, touchy-feely cognitive dissonance.

The many in the conservative movement prefer the "symbol" over the "message". This seems to be a problem that radiates from the likes of Ed Morrissey and his commentors. Granted, we are an image-based society, and we learn through images what certain things in our society represent.
The Flag Code states that there is no penalty for violating any of its many regulations.
No. The Flag Code serves as a guide to be followed on a purely voluntary basis to insure proper respect for the flag. The Supreme Court has ruled that politically motivated violations of the Flag Code are protected by the First Amendment.
The Flag Code has no provision for enforcement. No fines, no penalties. There is nothing law enforcement can do when the Flag Code is broken.
If you are into "nit-picking" then claiming that the "pass" that the DNCC is using just might violate the flag code. The real point is this - does it really matter?
Only to the reactionary idiots at HotAir, it seems.
And, while we're on the subject, does this violate the "Flag Code"?
