Spielberg Is About to Rape Another Fantastic Film

If you watched the recent South Park that satarized the theatrical raping of the Indiana Jones saga, you'll understand the title of this blog.

So, what could Spielberg possibly do that would top the latest Indy?

Well, if you're a fan of foreign films, you have no doubt heard of the 2003 Korean masterpiece "Oldboy", directed by Chan-wook Park

An average man is kidnapped and imprisoned in a shabby cell for 15 years without explanation. He then is released, equipped with money, a cellphone and expensive clothes. As he strives to explain his imprisonment and get his revenge, he soon finds out that not only his kidnapper has still plans for him, but that those plans will serve as the even worse finale to 15 years of imprisonment.

UK, November 7, 2008 - Yes, you read the above headline right, and no, it isn't April Fool's Day. Steven Spielberg and Will Smith are apparently considering collaborating on a remake of Korean masterpiece Oldboy.

According to Variety, the Hollywood heavyweights have been searching for a film to make together and see Chan Wook-Park's downbeat thriller as a possible candidate.

For those that have seen Oldboy, and know that the ending is NOT something that you would ever see in a Spielberg / Will Smith film, you'll have no doubt that this will be another cinematic rape.

Let's pray that this doesn't get past the "hey, you know what would be a cool movie to remake" stage.
