A lot has been said about Jerome Corsi, Micheal "Weiner" Savage, And Limbaugh.

Some people think they just say the things they do to bolster ratings, to enrage the most fringe of conservative republicans, or to just say it because they have a "right" to say it.

I, on the other hand, am starting to think that maybe - just maybe - these idiots actually believe the stuff that they continually vomit out and know their faithful followers will swallow:

Let's See What Non-Voters Have To Say

You can start to see Drudge's propaganda showing more and more when he chooses the Nickelodeon "Kids Poll" in order to show that McCain just might still have a chance.

Drudge and National Review's Campaign Spot -- with a measure of conscious self-parody -- link the Nickelodeon Kids poll, which has Obama up only two points.

It's an online poll. Of kids.

"The Nickelodeon Kids' Poll is one of those polls that is always interesting to keep an eye on," writes NR's Geraghty.

If you really wanted to stretch for some rationalization, for all the "realiability" you can get from this poll, this just might reflect something positive that mommy or daddy had to say about McCain or Obama at dinner one night.

Yeah? Well, Fuck You Stossel!

Apparently, John Stossel - self-described libertarian, moustache afficianado, and pal of Bill O'Reilly - thinks that some people ( read: young, democratic, people ) shouldn't have the right to vote.

Well, The Bus Project gets some jabs back at John.



Funny, that a man like Stossel - who is quite friendly with people who work for a network that thrives off of feeding disinformation ( and often blatant lies ) to people - is attempting to show that certain people don't have the right to vote.

As evidence from recent McCain / Palin rallies shows, I think the last people that Stossel needs to point fingers at are young voters.

If you're not familiar with how John Stossel has creatively twisting the fact his pieces to fit his tilted sense of the political realm, this is a prime example.

Also, voting - no matter your political affiliation or how much you know or don't know - is a right, period.

What McCain's Camp ( And Most Republicans ) Don't Want You To Know

The woman's shoulder-shrug meaning "well, I think he is" aside, the McCain campaign - as well as those that support them - continue to espouse this line of thought that Arab = Terrorist.

Here's some info that you might find enlightening:

• Arab Americans with at least a high school diploma number 85%

• More than 4 out of 10 Arab Americans have a bachelor’s degree or higher.

• 17% of Arab Americans have a post-graduate degree which is nearly twice the American average (9%).

• Of the school age population, 13% are in pre-school, 58% are in elementary or high school, 22% are enrolled in college and 7% are in graduate school.

With the rhetoric continually being ramped-up, and the subsequent responses from McCain and Palin followers reflecting that, it's time that Americans stop being so willfully ignorant.

More Shreaking Nonsense From The McCain / Palin Mob

It's to be expected.



While you hear the proto-typical talking-points being shouted from the crowd, it's interesting to hear one man attempt to link the financial crisis and ACORN.

In-point-of-fact, it has been documented that ACORN was not mentioned in the bailout bills initial language nor the final draft:

When the provision was still being discussed as part of the financial bailout bill, Salon.com's Gabriel Winant reported that ACORN's legislative director said the organization's housing advocacy affiliate, ACORN Housing, is "considering applying for funds from the Housing Trust Fund, but will probably choose not to do so," and even if it did, it would have to go through the same application process as any other group.

Also, the statements that somehow link the CRA ( Community Reinvestment Act ) to the financial downturn are patently false as well:

Just another example of the willfully ignorant that support McCain and Palin.

So, It's Katie Couric's Fault?

Not suprisingly, Sarah Palin is on Fox"News" talking about her interview with Katie Couric and did what we would expect a Republican to do when they go on Fox, they said it was "their" fault.

In this case, the "their" is Katie Couric.





So, it was Katie Couric's fault that you can't name one - not one - newspaper or magazine that you have read. It's Katie Couric's fault that you answered a direct question of a voter. It's her fault that you can't even modestly elaborate on foreign policy as it relates to Iraq or Afganistan, the two most important nations in regards to Republicans foreign policiy.

Palin is prepared?

Her discussion with Cameron is nothing more than "Monday morning quarter-backing". She sees what a bumbling idiot she comes off as, and then claims that people are out to get her.

McCain Sings A New Tune On Fox

So, he was for the moderator before he was against her.

As the conservative "attacks" on Gwen Ifill were ramped-up over the past 48 hours, John McCain was quoted as saying that he thought she would be "totally objective".

Now, it appears that he has been poked and proded by those same "attackers" into changing his tune in order to look "tough". He was on Fox and Friends this morning:

McCain also went further than he had yesterday in responding to a question about Gwen Ifill serving as the moderator of tonight's veep debate, saying he preferred somebody else.

"Frankly, I wish they had picked a moderator that isn't writing a book favorable to Barack Obama," McCain said of Ifill, who is examining the rise of the Illinois Democrat and other post-civil rights black leaders. "Let's face it. But I have to have to have confidence that Gwen Ifill will handle this as the professional journalist that she is."

"Life isn't fair, as I mentioned earlier in the program."

Par for the course, actually.

The larger question to be asked here is this - does McCain even have his own original thoughts to contribute? Did he even know who Gwen Ifill was until some handler told him who she was? Was this new opinion of her "fed" to him? Probably.

It is widely apparent that Palin is as blissfully ignorant as they come, but McCain is supposed to be this "strong, opinionated leader with convictions and conservative moral fiber" blah-blah-blah. What happened to this "Maverick" that everyone seems to be talking about? Did he ever exist?

The whole "Ifill is biased" nonsense is just that - nonsense.

Tonight is about Biden and Palin. Period.

Now Palin Claims The Media Is "Censoring" Her?

True, one of the first refuges of the conservative movement when they are quoted directly is to say they were "taken out of context", but Palin takes it a step further:

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said the media sometimes “censors” what she says.

Palin, in the midst of preparations for her Thursday night debate with Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden, called into conservative talk radio host Sean Hannity’s show late Wednesday.


In a back-and-forth with Hannity about recent media portrayals of her, Palin said she feels the press "censors" her comments. Palin has given few media interviews and critics have panned most of them.

If anything, it was the McCain campaign, and Palin herself, that have been "censoring" Palin.

NEW YORK - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has not held a press conference in nearly four weeks of campaigning, on Tuesday banned reporters from her first meetings with world leaders, allowing access only to photographers and a television crew.

CNN, which was providing the television coverage for news organizations, decided to pull its TV crew, effectively denying Palin the high visibility she had sought.

The campaign told the TV producer, print and wire reporters in the press pool that follows the Alaska governor that they would not be admitted with the photographers and camera crew taken in to photograph the meetings. At least two news organizations, including The Associated Press, objected and were told that the decision was not subject to discussion.

The McCain campaign was even censoring Palin right out-of-the-gate:



If anything, the media has been clamouring to hear from her.

But, this is one of - if not THE - Republican's favorite weapon - blame the media.
