There's a kind of sadness that washes over us when we hear that one of our favorite bands of days-gone-by is going to be playing at "local bar, hotel, or crumbling venue". I fear that The Cult has entered that pantheon of "who once was" now. But they can still rock it.
Originally known as "Southern Death Cult", the band - in my mind - has solidified their place in musical history with the album "Sonic Temple". It's definatley and LP that everyone should own and play often.

I'm quite the stickler for remakes of tracks that I love. But let me just say that Keane's cover is quite enjoyable.
