Rick Barber's at it again, this time with that Ag Commissioner guy and his gun and even the dude that knows the "hidden verse" of the national anthem.
One has to wonder if the "patriotism" these people feel is going to be around the next time a Republican is in the White House.
So this guy really thinks we are losing freedoms, that we are being enslaved? I'd like to ask him face to face how many freedoms he has lost since January 2009. I bet he can't name one.

The Zapruderization Of Conservative Memes
Much in the way that an SEIU member allegedly "beat down" a member of the tea-bagger movement, this non-story is being touted as proof positive that Democrats are resorting to violence in the face of opposition.
While the video doesn't really show an attack, what you can see - through restarting the clip from around the 5 second mark is a hand up in the air, another hand, a flash and then you hear the clang of the guard-rail. Immediately following that you see a man - the person that shoved the arm out of his face? - picking up the man with the camera and asking, "are you ok"?
If one were to look at this honestly, it's likely that the person running toward Martha Coakley, once having his arms removed from another man's face, was off balance and wasn't shoved into the rail due to some "thuggish" act as it is being portrayed.
Secondly, after the man is picked up, he gets in the other gentleman's face again. What's important here is that we can't hear what they are saying to one another - in as much as what words we can hear have any context to the situation. After all, the people that are using this as some Zapruder-esque footage that validates multiple specious claims that the Democrats party has turned into a bunch of gangsters.
If you see a man claiming to be a "reporter" go lunging after a political candidate, and in light of threats made against members of the Democratic party, what would you do? Would you attempt to block this person - who is obviously not wanting to be stopped and is intent on running up to the candidate - until it was clear they meant no harm? Most sane people would. Let's try running up to Scott Brown mumbling some incoherent statement flailing our arms around and see if we aren't tackled by someone by FreedomWorks.
Conservatives are likely to dismiss all this by claiming that Martha Coakley heard the question asked by the reporter and that serves as his identification, that he posses no threat. That, in and of itself, is a rather disingenuous statement. After all, the man that successfully threw two shoes at George W. Bush in Iraq was a journalist that was apparently cleared by security.
In the end, conservatives are more than willing to inflate a story to it's most illogical end just so that they can say they are being bullied, that votes are being stolen, that the government is doing all it can to take away every freedom you have.

Some Thoughts For Your Day
- As is to be expect, Sarah Palin is in full-on "quit picking on me"' mode now that her book is being scrutinized by not only the public, but various members of the media. She's upset that the AP is fact-checking the assertions that she ( and her ghostwriter ) made in her memoir. Why does she think that we are to simply take her at her word? This is, after all, the woman that quit her job rather than finish out her term as Governor of Alaska, that was famous for either making things up or acting like a bumbling freshman during the campaign. She, and all of her drooling sychophants, intend on using the "you can't question a woman - that's sexist" stance in order to deflect any questions. And Fox"News" is more than happy to carry that water for her as long as they can.
- There is nothing more pathetic than people that continually deny the well-recorded history of this country. And that definately extends to the reactionary conservative tea-bagger set. What is it about honesty that they can't grasp. Do they not realize that their conservative Jesus, Ronald Reagan, actually offered amnesty to illegal immigrants and had to deal with 10.2%unemployment?
- It's always fun to see conservative Republicans scurry away from their fearmongering talking-points on healthcare when it comes to light that the very things they are using as a weapon is actually part of their own package. The "death panel" meme that was so pervasive several months ago has shown up in the RNC's own healthcare plan. That's right, they offer "end-of-life" counciling. Woops.

Your Tea Bagger Representatives
One has to wonder exactly how anyone with even a partially functioning brainstem can vote for people like this.
And while Rep. King will be tea-bagging it up this afternoon, 15% on his district will remain uninsured. How is he defending anyone's freedoms by ignoring the reality of his district?
And Jim DeMint doesn't seem to know much about the reality of the healthcare debate either.
His state is actually worse off than King's as nearly 20% of South Carolina is uninsured - a fact that should interest DeMint as the each uninsured person drives up overall costs.
King will likely be absent from his elected duties as a legislator and attend the rally that is currently going on at Capital Hill.

Malkin's Hortaculturist Horror Stories
Michelle Malkin, never one to miss an opportunity to discount, slime, and stalk children - but all in the name of patriotism and allegance to her movement - has taken issue with a child again. Continuing with the "their plants!!!!" meme, Malkin pats herself on the back and smiles that wide, toothie, smile as she discovers that an Obama volunteer not only brought her daughter, but that same daughter asked Obama a question.
THE HORROR!!!!
But this alleged travesty, injustice, and perversion of the American way doesn't stop there. No, not only does this young woman voice her concerns regarding those protesting healthcare, but her mother was ( brace yourself ) a volunteering for the Obama campaign!!!
No, Michelle dear, if you want to true Redux, you'd be stalking this family and posting their personal information online.
Bob Cesca views the "plant" nonsense in the same way as I do:
And using Malkin's apparently uber-stringent regulations for not only townhall attendance, but for posing questions to the President, then over half the population of most cities would be completely removed from the equation.
Here's what I find interesting about Malkin's standpoint on children - she seems to live by the philosophy that they are to be seen and not heard. Sort of like the way Sarah Palin views her children, as set pieces for their careers.
It should also be pointed out that Malkin's puckering machinations fly directly in the face of her's and like-minded conservative's "concern" for children and their future.

Manning Hall has donated thousands of dollars to Obama, as has her law firm.
But, you know, um, like Obama said: “I don’t want people saying I just have a bunch of plants in here.”
Oh, goodness. Of course not.
Now, look for Dems to play the kiddie human shield card to the hilt. Anyone who mentions Hall’s political pedigree will be attacked as a vicious meanie stalker. Graeme Frost redux!

A "plant" would, in fact, be someone who was coached and scripted. You know, like most of the stacked Bush town halls and photo-ops (where were the wingnut cries of "propaganda" back then?).

That Rationale Of The Tea-Baggers Doesn't Make Sense
This morning, while perusing Fox"Nation" to see what the crazies were up to around breakfast-time, I can across a thread about Palins assertions that Obama is going to kill all babies regardless of their parents political affiliations, men over the age of 47 who voted in at least 3 Republican primaries over the last 5 years, slaughter buffalo and bald-eagles and make Peggy Noonan drink the blood, blow up the new Yankee stadium so there can be a monument to George Soros built in its stead, and make out with the leader of Hamas on live TV next July 4th, I noticed that a commenter had posted this same thing. The good people that call Fox"Nation" their home were not pleased with this - at all. It provided a hearty laugh for my day, which I greatly needed.

This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US department of energy. I then took a shower in the clean water provided by the municipal water utility. After that, I turned on the TV to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the national weather service of the national oceanographic and atmospheric administration determined the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the national aeronautics and space administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of US department of agriculture inspected food and taking the drugs which have been determined as safe by the food and drug administration.
At the appropriate time as regulated by the US congress and kept accurate by the national institute of standards and technology and the US naval observatory, I get into my national highway traffic safety administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads build by the local, state, and federal departments of transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the environmental protection agency, using legal tender issed by the federal reserve bank. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US postal service and drop the kids off at the public school.
After spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the workplace regulations imposed by the department of labor and the occupational safety and health administration, enjoying another two meals which again do not kill me because of the USDA, I drive my NHTSA car back home on the DOT roads, to ny house which has not burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and fire marshal's inspection, and which has not been plundered of all it's valuables thanks to the local police department.
I then log on to the internet which was developed by the defense advanced research projects administration and post on freerepublic.com and fox news forums about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government can't do anything right.
