Influential Influences

Here's a new set of posts that I will attempt to keep up with for your Thursday night enjoyment.

I have discovered several fantastic blogs over the past year of my own blogging adventures. And, each Thursday, I will give props to two blogs that are influential to me.

Tonight, we feature BlueGal and Dr. Zauis.

BlueGal ( aka Fran ) is not only the blogging queen of knitting and panties, she has a particularly wonderful sense of humor and honesty in her posts that I have yet to find any other place. Her quirky sense of politics and life are something fresh and wildly pleasing to the palate. I often read and re-read her posts and get the sense of connectiveness that I rarely find anywhere else. Also, her original videos are a treat for the senses. BlueGal also hosts a weekly chat time on Mondays that I wish I had the opportunity to join in on more, as the discussions are rife with honest, intellectual discussions that you won't find in most places.

Then, there's the amazing Dr. Dr. Zaius.

A blogger that brings the wonderful feeling of a hybrid of the Sean Connery era of James Bond blended with the vibe of the swinging 60s, Zaius is one of the internet's greatest political satirists. Zaius delivers some of the greatest photoshop-comments on the political stories of the day. His style and substance blend together in a seemless wave of truth, justice, and the ape way.

That Rationale Of The Tea-Baggers Doesn't Make Sense

This morning, while perusing Fox"Nation" to see what the crazies were up to around breakfast-time, I can across a thread about Palins assertions that Obama is going to kill all babies regardless of their parents political affiliations, men over the age of 47 who voted in at least 3 Republican primaries over the last 5 years, slaughter buffalo and bald-eagles and make Peggy Noonan drink the blood, blow up the new Yankee stadium so there can be a monument to George Soros built in its stead, and make out with the leader of Hamas on live TV next July 4th, I noticed that a commenter had posted this same thing. The good people that call Fox"Nation" their home were not pleased with this - at all. It provided a hearty laugh for my day, which I greatly needed.

This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US department of energy. I then took a shower in the clean water provided by the municipal water utility. After that, I turned on the TV to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the national weather service of the national oceanographic and atmospheric administration determined the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the national aeronautics and space administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of US department of agriculture inspected food and taking the drugs which have been determined as safe by the food and drug administration.

At the appropriate time as regulated by the US congress and kept accurate by the national institute of standards and technology and the US naval observatory, I get into my national highway traffic safety administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads build by the local, state, and federal departments of transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the environmental protection agency, using legal tender issed by the federal reserve bank. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US postal service and drop the kids off at the public school.

After spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the workplace regulations imposed by the department of labor and the occupational safety and health administration, enjoying another two meals which again do not kill me because of the USDA, I drive my NHTSA car back home on the DOT roads, to ny house which has not burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and fire marshal's inspection, and which has not been plundered of all it's valuables thanks to the local police department.

I then log on to the internet which was developed by the defense advanced research projects administration and post on freerepublic.com and fox news forums about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government can't do anything right.
