I'll let his latest piece at townhall.com speak for itself:
The new head of the national teacher’s union describes a dream for education that sounds more like a socialist nightmare.
Randi Weingarten, incoming president of the American Federation of Teachers, wants schools to become community centers for medical care and social services as well as classes. She called for a “federal law” promoting “schools that are open all day and offer after-school and evening recreational activities, child care and preschool, tutoring and homework assistance”, plus “medical dental and counseling clinics.”
In other words, she sees schools as big city versions of all-encompassing collective farms, with students their prize crop. Maybe such schools should also offer barracks for the kids, eliminating any need at all for parents or home. Ms. Weingarten forgot to mention that her vision involved a huge expansion of government and a crushing burden for taxpayers.
Ok, so let's take a look at this.
Medved is using that "buzz-word" that conservatives are so eager to use: "socialism".
I mean, give me a fucking break. We're talking about programs that would help children further their education, provide a safe environment for them after school, and assistance in promoting good health and wellness.
What sort of world does Medved live in?
Does he not know that there are more parents that are having to work longer hours just to provide basic medical care for their children?
In Medved's world, are there no opportunities for kids to get educational assistance, or are they all just indoctrinated and conditioned to be as willfully ignorant as him?
He claims that such a system would see children as a "crop" when he and those that he claims to be representative of are nothing more than easily lead cattle.
You know, i don't think "idiot" is all that appropriate now.
I'm thinking more along the lines of "fucking stupid".
