It's always been something that I have struggled with understanding. How can a woman be so staunchly engrained with conservative ideals when, at it's very core, it hold nothing but utter contempt for women. The bedrock of conservativism is rooted in the bygone era where women stayed at home, cranked out babies, and had dinner on the table before dad could hang up his coat. Conservativism has morphed as the years have passed, but the old guard still stand strong to their convictions and likely smirk when they see Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin praising the movement. They likely smirk and think to themselves, "if the silly broad only knew".
But still, conservative women have carved-out somewhat of a niche for themselves at The
Claire Boothe Luce Policy Institue.
And now, there's a nice calendar to hang up at the office.
The participants are: Kate Obenshain, Clare Boothe Luce, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Marji Ross, Bay Buchanan, Kellyanne Conway, Michele Bachmann, Carrie Prejean, Phyllis Schlafly, SE Cupp, and Star Parker.
And much like the way that conservatives view women in America, there is an implied asterisk within the picture that you can't see.
