Suspiria Remake Could Still Happen

As far as film remakes go, there haven't been many that have lived up to the originals - though Rob Zombies 'revisualization' of Halloween was beyond fantastic.

It seems that rumors and facts and then people canceling and rescheduling and revamping has lead to this report from Variety.


One of my favorite horror films of all time is about to see a new version.



The plot is pretty simple - A newcomer to a fancy ballet academy gradually comes to realize that the staff of the school are actually a coven of witches bent on chaos and destruction.

Suspiria was the first in Argento's Trilogy "The Three Mothers". The second part was 1980's "Inferno" and production is winding down on the final part "The Mother's Tears"

David Gordon Green is slated to direct the new version of the film which celebrated it's 30th anniversary at this years Cannes Film Festival.
