Standards And Hypocrisy

Over at First Things and Fox Nation, we see conservatives in all their hypocritical rage over the fact that Democrats are rallying their constituents to help not only keep them in the majority in Washington but to hold BP accountable for the disaster in the Gulf.

democrats are using the tragedy that killed 11 and caused untold treasure to try to raise money.
The Democratic National Senatorial Committee today emailed supporters a fundraising plea: “Help President Obama hold BP accountable.”
Democrats are shamelessly politicizing a tragedy that resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals.

That's rather a canted view of what this really is, but it's effective is enraging the right-wing base. However, I find all this faux outrage just a little difficult to swallow, considering conservatives have been "politicizing and making money" off the deaths of nearly 3000 Americans for almost 10 years.
