How Does Religion Rank In Your State?

This poll from Pew is odd for one reason - Kentucky is ranked 10th.

Which of the 50 states has the most religious population? Since there are many ways to define "religious," there is no single
answer to this question. But to give a sense of how the states stack up, the Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion & Public Life
used polling data to rank them on four measures: the importance of religion in people's lives, frequency of attendance at worship services, frequency of prayer and absolute certainty of belief in God. Mississippi stands out on all four, and several other Southern states also rank very high on the measures.

Having grown up in Kentucky and living here my entire life, there is a religious aspect to virtually all facets of life here. Some people have often referred to my state as the "buckle of the Bible Belt". And this is a VERY interesting state to live in considering who our current President is. Not only is there abject racism at almost every turn when politics are being discussed between local residents, but religion is ultimately folded into the rhetoric. I can't count the number of times I've overheard people in Western Kentucky claim that Obama is the Anti-Christ.

Well, geez, I guess I'm glad I live in Michigan where disparaging the President is done a bit more discreetly. The emails flying around take a bit more liberty, but I just delete them.
