Has Anyone Seen The President?

The highly attuned and intellectually honest folks over at Fox"Nation" are wondering why Obama hasn't held a press-conference in 6 months.

Really? That's a matter of great national and social import that it's a featured item? Well, we are talking about the folk that hold true to the great American traditions of conspiracy theory, entertainment over information, and good-ole-fashioned racial animus.

Naturally, this is being framed to insist that Obama is somehow afraid of the press. But that doesn't make much sense, as conservatives have insisted for over two years that the press and Obama are so close to one another that he rolls over and kisses Brian Williams goodnight before he kisses Michelle. So this non-story that Obama is avoiding the White House press-corp is a non-starter to begin with.

It doesn't take much thought to realize that Obama has much more on his plate than many of his predecessors, therefor, he's got little time to jaunt over to the press-room and have to deal with more pointless questions from a press-pool that is mostly compiled of people that are wanted to hear about faux controversy that has been ginned up by conservatives. There's a lot to get done and talking with Chuck Todd and Major Garrett just really isn't high on Obama's list of priorities.
