Video shot by the Columbus Dispatch from today's Honk and Wave in Support of Health Care at Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy's district office contains a segment wherein the teabaggers mock and scorn an apparent Parkinsen's victim telling him "he's in the wrong end of town to ask for handouts", calling him a communist and throwing money at him to "pay for his health care".
And while there is no real proof that this man does have Parkinson's, it's the reaction that he draws that is more compelling. But don't think that this is the first time people with severe health issues have been ridiculed by the Tea Baggers.
At the "townhall meetings" across the country last year, Tea Baggers shouted down anyone that attempted to tell their personal story, or that of a family member, of how the current healthcare system has hurt them. Back then, I asked how these people even had the ability to function in society, considering they are literally cheering against their own self-interest. But now, I'm just amazed they haven't started killing people yet.
