The Fame Position

Check out this wonderful segment with Rachel and then I have a question for everyone.

By their very nature, politicians crave a certain amount of fame. And for those conservatives reading this, yes, I'm including Obama in that statement. The question of whether they choose to use that "fame" to better their district, their state, their nation, is what needs to be asked.

People like Bart Stupack aren't in this for their constituents or their country, they are in it so they can have a moment in the spotlight. The same is true for people like Mitch McConnell, who is allegedly the man that "represents" my state - Kentucky. The same is true for the other alleged "representative" of Kentucky - Jim Bunning. I could go on.

This is all the more true now that Barack Obama is president. They see him as a "controversial" person, since he is displaying the desire, compassion, and drive to offer real, lasting, and long-overdue change to this country. When you have someone that has that dream and determination, you will have a thousand little Stupaks, McConnells, and Bunnings. They aren't acting the way they are because they care about this country; they are doing it because they are attention whores and must be catered.
