You are aware by now that a 12,000 pound killer whale at SeaWorld Orlando killed his trainer Dawn Brancheau yesterday by pulling her into a pool and dragging her around until she drowned, in front of a crowd of stunned guests.
Chalk another death up to animal rights insanity and to the ongoing failure of the West to take counsel on practical matters from the Scripture.
Alright.
For starters, I'm not entirely sure how this is an case of "animal rights insanity", as those fighting for animal rights would oppose SeaWorld's activities in the first place. If they had their way, this Orca would never have been in captivity and Dawn Brancheau would still be alive.
Secondly, and I'll use a Bible verse ( Genesis 1:26 ) to make this point. Do Christians not even read their own scripture?
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
It's a pretty clear cut example that God is allegedly saying that man can do whatever he wants with animals as he has "dominion" over them. Is this not what those at SeaWorld are doing? How is this not only NOT against Christian dogma, but how can the AFA even begin to use this as a thesis statement?
