Forgiveness plays a a big part in American culture. The "Judeo-Christian Ethic" that conservatives claim is threaded through every city, every town, and every state is not often practiced by those within the conservative movement - unless they have something to gain from it.
So when Van Jones offered his "brotherly love", and more than likely his forgiveness for Beck being the complete out of touch man that he is, someone that has the power to destroy simply out of abject ignorance, Jones got a response from Beck. And a typical response at that, as Think Progress points out.
I love you too,Glad to all live in one country. Will it be the founders country or the one you pushed when with storm?http://nyti.ms/aKOO7d
Even in recognizing Jones' offer and appeal, it's typical that Beck would continue to besmirch and distort. The continues "Founder Fetishism" of people like Beck does tend to make one wonder precisely what they would say about the state of America today. I think it's safe to say that they would be more aghast at the fact that there are "moving pictures" on a thing called a television set than one man's conspiratorial dribblings.
