HBO Fail?

They're cancelling them?

HBO’s quirky comedy about Kiwi musicians Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement has been canceled after 22 episodes. Skein, about the duo’s move to Gotham in hopes of becoming big stars, began in June 2007 and found a small but dedicated audience.

On their website, the pair said: “We’re very proud of the two seasons we made, and we like the way the show ended. … While the characters Bret and Jemaine will no longer be around, the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist.”

I'm trying to figure out how a show like Flight of the Conchords can get cancelled? From my perspective, their like New Zealand's answer to Tenacious D. But then again, maybe that's why they didn't last on HBO. The D didn't either.

the sad thing is i liked this show and i'm sad to see it go. I didn't love it but i could watch it and chuckle here and there. i could watch all 22 episodes in a day if i had to but i can't get through 15 minutes of an episode of Entourage and that's been around for about 8 seasons. i miss the D too. thanks HBO.
