Got the chance to see Mastodon at - of all places - Bonnaroo a few years ago and they really impressed me. They really embraced the spirit of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal of the late 70s and early 80s and blended it with what I call the "epic adventrure" style of presenting your material.
