Another "Phony" Soldier, Apparently

As an addition to my previous post, here are some comments from the fine, American military loving folks at HOT AIR and what many of them think of a member of the armed services that disagrees with their hero, Rush Limbaugh.

And,you gota love the Liberal callers who call in,as….

Hi Rush,love your show,long time listener,I’m a vetern of
1776,1812,and every other war, including the great cosmic
wars,

and our entire family, going back 10,000 years have voted
straight Republican in every election,

but,Republicans are Nazi’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Snark).

I agree with Rush: the caller really isn’t a Republican, isn’t a veteran and didn’t vote for McCain. Actually, he sounds a LOT like Bill Ayers.

JimC on April 7, 2009 at 10:55 PM

...It takes a lot to get him riled up, but this caller was such an obvious plant. Rush makes it a point never to hang up on callers, so he often takes more abuse than he should. The caller was neither a conservative nor republican. He’s just trying to blame an easy target for his own shortcomings in life. Sounds like a typical liberal to me.

What does military service have to do with the whole thing?

Do those that serve fight so that they can then use their service to stifle the free speech of Americans? I thought that is one of the things they fight for.

White men eh? You are a racist and you know it.

Wow a fat comment too. He may be fat now but he is far from a slob. You only wish you could dress as well as Rush does.

I can tell you are a jealous loser. Rush has more success in the past month than you have had in your whole miserable life. You and I both know it.

I only highlight this comment because I find it just a shade suspect. The entire military revolting over one radio-show host allegedly being removed? This actually calls for its own post.

The military practically revolted when they heard they might be losing Rush radio overseas.

Not sure what they think of underceij, though.

I doubt he was in that long.

Charles is a fake. He is definitely a liberal of the Keith Olbermann type that loves to call republicans “Nazis.”

and we don’t know for certain, this guy was really in the Marines.

trust but verify as Reagan said, same princple with the soviets applies to dishonest libs.

Whenever I hear an alleged GI trounce another patriotic citizen for not serving or trounce the quality of another veteran’s honorable service, my Jesse MacBeth alarm goes off.

baldilocks on April 7, 2009 at 11:22 PM

If this guy was in the service, it sure wasn’t anything to do with combat.....

TexasJew on April 7, 2009 at 11:26 PM

WHAT does military service have to do with the argument?

Please do tell.

I suspect you are as idiotic as the caller. Maybe you are the caller.

Jamson64 on April 7, 2009 at 11:29 PM

Why is this veteran lying about the American torture record?

What a tool. He’s the one who’s brainwashed.

jimmy the notable on April 7, 2009 at 11:38 PM

Also, military service is does NOT give someone Absolute Moral Authority.

jimmy the notable on April 7, 2009 at 11:41 PM

....Frankly I would suggest that Rush has done more for the military then some anonymous caller, when we dont know anything about the caller.

F15Mech on April 7, 2009 at 11:42 PM

Something quite scary and disappointing when a supposed honorable military person used their service to try to quiet those to whom he disagrees.

I suspect his service was in fact not so honorable.

Did they not serve to protect the right to life, liberty, and speech among other things?

Jamson64 on April 7, 2009 at 11:42 PM

Seems to me that when a military person uses their service to stifle free speech hey are breaking their oath.

Jamson64 on April 7, 2009 at 11:49 PM

Being a vet does not give one Absolute Moral Authority nor does it give the majority of us any special insights into torture or Nazis or when we should or shouldn’t fight wars.

If people here believe it does then every time an issue of torture or war comes up you need to just shut the hell up and let us vets decide for you what’s right and wrong.

29Victor on April 7, 2009 at 11:53 PM

Being in the military doesn’t give you moral authority. Now having been in the Infantry… now THAT’S moral authority.

I love Rush. I teach and I get to listen to him for a couple of segments during my lunch break at school. He makes my day and never fails to bring me joy.

And that is just around half the comments from one thread at HotAir.

In the interest of full disclosure, I recently posted a piece about how Michelle Malkin lambastsed the entire Democratic, progressive, and liberal movement by highlighting 10 comments from blog readers.

It should be stated clearly and unequivically that I am highlighting one blog and one particular set of readership for their blatant and unblushing hypocrisy in regards to their alleged "love" of the American Military.

Here's that same readership that came to Rush's defense when he did the same thing they just did.
