You have to wonder why conservatives keep demanding apologies from people when they are never going to accept them anyway.



S.E. Cupp seemed all too ready to give Hannity a handjob as she twitched and shrieked about how "outraged" she was that Barack Obama didn't stop what he was doing to tell David Letterman that his joke was in poor taste and probably shouldn't do it again.

They were jokes. Get over it.

Of course, people will say that "children" of politicians should be off-limits in discussions. I'll buy that. But, when you use your family for political gain, when you treat your children as set dressing for every photo-op that you can possible work your way into, when you attempt to create the aura of purity and Christian good will all while forcing your 18-year-old, unwed-mother to tell kids that "sex is bad, mmm'ka" what would you expect to happen?

People like David Letterman make their living off taking the piss out of people. There are far worse things that have been said and are going to be said. And he's already apologized, clarified, and done what was "proper" in order to rectify this non-issue of an issue.

But conservatives sure do love the red-meat moments.

They would rather create this elaborate scene where they are consistantly the victims of every slander, every smear, attack, and it's always the "liberal media's fault".
