What Does She Know?

Good response or bad?

Like him or not, you have to admit that he's far more honest than Bush on many issues. I would even argue that he's more forthcoming than Clinton on many things, but that's a debate for later.

I do have to make this one point though.

Considering that the President of the United States is held to a far higher standard than anyone, was it right for him to make this statement? Should he have simply said "no comment"? After all, this is going to be fodder for the lunatic fringe for at least the nest 72 hours, maybe longer. It's already started mind you.

But then again, considering the inflammatory rhetoric, the hatred, the conspiracy theories that have been launched daily against Obama, why shouldn't he have said this. To me, at least, I think he handled the answer quite well. It's not like he went off on a tangentical, rambling, incoherent tirade against Palin. That's best left up to those that can't articulate and factually accurate point, kind of like what Palin does.

Almost perfect response, except that he should have not mentioned her name the second time.

I'm glad to see him speak out and say what all of us in the reality-based world have been saying all along. To respond to Judas Maximus's stupid question would have been, well, stupid, and Obama is anything but. The reich-wing ranters hate him anyway no matter what he says so why not speak the truth?
