It was bad form on Obama's part. There's no questioning that.
He has apologized. It was accepted.
But this reactionary posturing from the likes of Michelle Malkin, Ed Morrissey, and RedState - the later devolving quickly into a dithering non-sequitir that makes the psycho-babble of Micheal Savage almost palatable - is pathetic. Not just pathetic, but disgusting. On, and on they go.
The net is teaming with right-wing conservative voices that appear to be coming to the defense of The Special Olympics.
So, where was their alleged love of the mentally disabled before last night?
Many will point to Sarah Palin's son Trig as an example. But we all know that was more love for Palin than it was having any honest compasion toward Trig.
Selective "moral" outrage tarted-up to look like honesty.
I don't buy it.
