What does this say about Geithner?
It's troubling because, if he wanted the provision in the bill, Geithner let his fear guide him rather than his knowledge.
What made Geithner so afraid of haveing a lawsuit leveled at his department?
What else played a part in this decision?
Many questions. Many questions that probably won't be asked.
Naturally, this is going to lead the news tonight and be the top story on all the "prime-time" programs ( I can already sense Sean Hannity is getting into a maturbatory lather right now ) but I can almost guarantee that they will make more of this than there is.
Unfortunately, there's already a lot there.
There's got to be more to this.
If not, Tim might be looking for a new job. Reguardless of what happens to him, there should definately be some housecleaning done at the Treasury.
