Conservatives are literally falling over themselves with this non-issue. Apparently, there is no American flag being flown in Haiti while US troops are there to assist with the relief effort. When one actually takes time to read the entire write-up from The Army Times, you get a much clearer picture of why the American flag is absent.
But you wouldn't know that by listening to conservatives.
The downside, is this does provide fuel for the fire that is continually spouted by people like Rush Limbaugh, Ed Morrissey, and on down to the seething throngs over at Fox"Nation" ( where the Army Times article is linked and only a small portion is highlighted ) who obviously didn't read the article either.
It's been highlighted by me and others over and over that the unblushing flag-sucking of conservatives shows that they are out of touch when it comes to protocol and respect for other nations. But that infers that conservatives actually believe in both protocol and respect when other nations are involved.
