Perception Versus Perspective

While Michelle Malkin is using this as some penultimate signifier that the entire MSNBC organization is full out abject anger and hatred, I'm only going to go so far as to say that Dylan Ratigan was grandstanding more than he should have been.

I'll offer that there was likely a delay in sound from Ratigan ending his question to Mark Williams hearing the ending and then attempting to start his spin, Ratigan should have likely known this and given Williams at least a few more seconds to answer.

That aside, I'm really wondering what Ratigan was expecting Mark Williams to say. After all, Williams racially divisive rhetoric does lend air to Ratigan's assertions that the Tea Baggers don't see a problem with some of the more fringe elements of the conservative movement being part of their gatherings.

But back to Malkin's point - or at least what I take to be her point. There are plenty of examples from all sides of the socio-political spectrum of people getting upset, fed up, or even outraged with others unwillingness to confront the likes of racism, xenophobia, misogyny, homophobia, or anything other divisive school of thought. However, that doesn't mean that you hold some moral highground by contorting it to validate a flaccid thesis that your side is right and their side is wrong.
