A Blog Version Of The Inside Of My Head. The place where politics, film, the media, music, pop culture, and random topics collide in an orgy of neo-philisophical randomness that would make your mother scream.

Goodbye? Good-Riddance!
One gets the feeling from this that Bush knows that his presidency has been a spectacular waste of time.
The line about "leaving behind lessons learned" is especially telling. Are these "lessons learned" or are they "failures" that he - and his administration - never learned from?
Also, his talk about staying away from "ism's" is almost laughable.
Had is not been for words like "terrorism", he wouldn't have much to say.
All kidding aside, he's going to give a farewell address, maybe in that very room. He's going to insist that he kept everyone safe, and do it with a straight face. He's probably already had the speech not only written, but rewritten - possibly several times.
The only question that remains is this - is he going to utter the phrase "we achieved victory in Iraq"?
More here.
