As soon as I heard about the jet crash in San Diego, the image from Scorsese's Howard Hugh's biopic, The Aviator, flashed into my head.
What did the scene look like?

Nothing overtly spectacular, and certainly not a "hollywood style disaster". Lot's of smoke and people with cameras. Kind of makes one wonder if the people in the footage had found anyone if they would have helped or if they would have just kept filming.
