Obama's First "Media Move"

When President Elect Obama ( man, it still feel great to say that ) held his first press conference - focusing primarily on the economy - guess who didn't get to ask a single question? Fox"News".

Nedra Pickler (AP), Lee Cowan (NBC), Jake Tapper (ABC), Chip Reid (CBS), Karen Bohan (Reuters), John McCormick (Chicago Tribune), Lynn Sweet (Chicago Sun-Times), Candy Crowley (CNN), Jeff Zeleny (New York Times).

It's isn't a suprise that Fox got the cold-shoulder from Obama. They have been hyping the "Socialism" meme for so long - some even going so far as to hint that this continuing economic downturn is directly linked to fears of an Obama Presidency.

What should easily be recognized is that Fox is now going to have to play offense. They did it from their inception on up until George W. Bush was elected. The right-wing pundits and anchors on the network are going to be fully locked and loaded. This could get really interesting really quick.
